Welcome to Communities In Schools of Southwest Pennsylvania, an affiliate of the nation's largest non-profit stay-in-school network.

CIS services include: on-site academic and behavioral assistance through mentoring, tutoring and homework assistance clubs, career awareness and preparation, self-esteem and behavioral modification workshops, intergenerational and summer programs, after-school educational programs, alternative education, and services for pregnant and parenting teens.

The CIS Tutoring Academy became available to all students in Fayette County in October of 2004. CIS is recognized as an approved provider of numerous educational services including: Supplemental Education Services (SES), Educational Assistance Program (EAP) and the Education Support Services (Classroom Plus).
