Volunteer Opportunities

Many people donate hours of their time to Communities In Schools each year. These selfless acts are greatly appreciated and their effects are seen in the positive differences and successes of the youth. CIS Board Members donate their time by attending meetings and facilitating events as well as volunteering as tutors and mentors. In addition, businesses and civic organizations, college and high school students all play a role in aiding young people with their academic and social skills, making a dramatic impact on our youth. Thank you for your dedication and effort!

If you or someone you  know would like to make a difference in a child's life, please contact the CIS office at 137 N. Beeson Avenue, Uniontown, PA 15401 or phone us at 724-437-2540.

"CIS saved my daughter's life. She suffered from depression & other problems. This program was the best thing that could have happened to her. She is a happy "adult" thanks to Communities In Schools." - Parent of CIS Student

"I just wanted to thank you for everything you've done this year. I don't know how I would've got through this year without you.  If I knew that I made the past year even half as enjoyable for you as you've made it for me, I feel beyond satisfied.  Not only me, but everyone has been happy and grateful for you being here." - CIS Student

"The CIS coordinator has helped to reinforce good study habits and encourages regular school attendance. I feel the program is a needed service and a success." - Teacher of a CIS Student
