Monetary Donations help to expand and enhance our various programs and meet student's emergency needs as they may arise. Since Communities In Schools is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, donations are tax deductible.  In addition businesses wishing to contribute to Communities In Schools may be eligible for a Pennsylvania Tax Credit. For a tax credit application, please contact CIS at (724) 437-2540 or apply directly to the PA Department of Community and Economic Development.

Memorial Funds can be established in memory of a loved one. Donations made to these memorials can benefit a specific CIS program if so desired. One such fund is the newly established Maye Sedmera Fund which benefits the Pregnant & Parenting Teen Program.

Donations such as clothing, school supplies, health and hygiene, and baby items can always be used. Since 1994 the Presbyterian Women of our area, as well at St. John the Evangelist and St.Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Churches have made numerous donations to the youth we serve. Communities In Schools assures that all donations are given directly to the children who are in need.
